A fiery new yearToday I lived my wish to usher in the new year watching the sky showered with fire while waves lap at my feet.
But there are no pictures. It’s a long story.
It did happen, though. I hope this means that 2012 is the year of wishes coming true.

The term can be applied to men just as it can women. I liked your post but as a guy I can't help but feel (as I do often) that the notion of sexism in 2012 has become entirely one-sided.
